This is a brilliant manouver by Loblaw and the REIT will make it a very good investment option hint, hint, nudge, nudge. This is the kind of thinking tht the LCBO should be using. Sell the asset to a related party(investment trust) and take the cash generated by creating the trust to pay off debts/deficit in the case of Ontario.
